Hello! Welcome to Wanderluxe Awaits, a blog by newleyweds Saira Jasmine and Scott, who are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We were married in October 2019 after two years of dating and turned 40 in early 2020. As we enter this next season of life, we’re focused on building our wealth as a family while also creating special memories through fun and exciting experiences, including traveling!

Our goal with this blog is to share lessons we’ve learned with other folks who enjoy nice things but are also budget savvy – from fun itineraries to packing tricks to maximizing relaxation and more. We both come from humble beginnings, with hard-working parents that took ultra-budget vacations (think road trips in a toasty van stopping at motels and camp grounds) once or twice a year max.

Let’s face it, we don’t quite fit the visual of what the luxury travel industry shows as their target audience and that’s part of why we’re sharing our stories; to encourage others to feel comfortable in luxury spaces regardless of what you look like and how you grew up. Most importantly, true to the values of how we were raised, we focus on how we can stretch our travel budget responsibly and finding great deals along the way.

A lot of the places we’ve been to over the last 25 years are well beyond what we would have imagined possible based on our childhoods – and to be honest it took a bit of adjustment to feel comfortable in business class flights and fancy high end hotels. Since we met in our late thirties and don’t yet have kids, our focus includes trips with our friends and family as well as solo and business travel tips.

Traveling – it leaves you speechless; then, turns you into a storyteller.
